About NITTE
NITTE (Deemed to be University) is established in the year 2008 under the NITTE Education Trust, NITTE (Deemed to be University) is a centre for excellence in higher education, research and community service in Karnataka. The University which started as a health professions centric university has grown into a medium sized multi-disciplinary University with 9000+ students. The 13 constituent colleges of the University offer more than 100 programs of study in Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Physiotherapy, Health Sciences Technology, Biological Sciences, Architecture, Media & Communication, Hospitality Services and related disciplines.
Our journey
Within a short span of 14 years, the University has become recognized for its quality of education and social commitment. It is graded ‘A+’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has been consistently ranked In the Top 80 Universities of the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). In 2021, the university was placed in the rank band of 401-450 by the QS World Universities Rankings – Asia. The university is one among the 8 Indian Universities to feature in the World’s Top 300 in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings of 2022. The Constituent colleges of the university have good standing in their disciplines in the NIRF rankings. In 2021, the dental college was ranked 6th and both the medical and the pharmacy colleges were ranked 45th in their categories by NIRF.
